Below are our Terms of Service. Some companies use this opportunity to hit you with a 40 page document written in impossibly small font, counting on you not having enough time and resources to make any sense of it. We want to do things a little bit different. At Product Pix, we believe a contract is meaningful when it's readable, and we think it's very fair, so we want you to know exactly what it says. So we've tried to keep it short and to the point. And written in human language, not legalese.
By uploading a photo to Product Pix, you consent that Product Pix staff will see that photo. This is necessary, since our service is based on graphic designers reviewing your photos and removing background from these photos, potentially adding more enhancements to the photo along the way such as color correction.
You also consent that the result background removed photo is retained by Product Pix, and used to train our automatic background removal do a better job. We believe this helps you directly, since we know once we train on enough examples for a certain product type, our automatic results gets much better, which cuts down your wait time from hours to seconds, and ultimately allows us to lower prices as we let our graphic designers focus their time on more challenging cases while our automatic model takes care of the rest.
Here are our terms of service:
When you upload a photo to Product Pix, you retain sole ownership of the photo you have uploaded. We will not use your photos for marketing, product sales, or publishing purposes.
The only use we'll make of your photos is to train better automatic models for background removal and photo enhancement.
We will try our best to keep your photos secure, and not allow unauthorized access to your photos. However, since every major company in Silicon Valley has had at least one major security scandal, we want to be modest here. Do not upload a photo that you really don't want other people to see. We will try our best to keep this information secure, but we cannot guarantee it.
By subscribing to our paid plan, you agree to be charged at the end of each monthly billing period. Failure to pay may revoke your access to our service.
You may not create derivative datasets of our results for the purpose of training your own background removal service. This means when you get a background removed result, you can use it to show it to other people, but not to teach your machines. Feel free to contact use if your'e interested in using our services to train machine learning models.
